Pride Weekend

Well once again it was Pride weekend... and what an amazing weekend at that!!
Friday night I attended the second annual Starry Night Party as a VIP guest (thanks D)- An outdoor party set in Cawthra Park including thousands of our closest friends..lol... cocktails, house music and naked bodies...nice! Late night we partied at Byzantium, finally ejecting out onto Church St with the thousands of others celebrating
Sunday night I attended a pre-parade get together at PJ's, we then walked down to Yonge and watched the parade. Later that afternoon we ended up in Cawthra Park for round 2 of dancing and drinks. Though I pride myself on my ability to party...I called it quits early and headed home before even the sun set. Way to keep the party going PJ..lol...

Jasmine Tea

A very nice gentleman brought me back some amazing tea from his most recent trip to China. We tested out the Jasmine flowering tea on Sunday during my Fathers Day dinner with family and friends. Wow was it ever amazing!! (the picture does not do it justice)

New Beginning

I have completed the next painting in my spatula collection. The inspiration came from what I would like to call a 'New Beginning'. From the ashes of burned emotions and injury rose a clarity of calm and purpose.
I have more paintings on my Flickr site… see link at the side of my blog.

Birthday Resolutions

I am so confused when it comes to New Years resolutions, where did this trend start and does it have a true meaning. When you think about it.. when did we decide that January 1st is going to be the start of YOUR 'new goals / beginnings'. I have always felt more deeply about change around my birthday....the need for goals....new beginnings.....new passions. So, this year I have populated my 10 goals to achieve in my 28th year.

1. Write and pass the Project Management Professional Exam
2. Hold a gallery show for my paintings
3. Feel challenged and excited in my career
4. Quit smoking (this is a big one!)
5. Continue to be vegan and experiment more with food
6. Eliminate all non-natural products in my life (cosmetics, in-home etc.)
7. Be more active
8. Volunteer
9. Be comfortable with my physical figure
10. Buy a home/condo

Birthday Celebrations

On Thursday I celebrated another year of getting older! I love the fact that birthdays are not just a one day celebration anymore, its now a full week of festivities. Thursday some girlfriends and I did the obligatory bar night out..and once again we concluded that 28 is way too old for the bars in Toronto. Friday I had a wonderful dinner at Victory Cafe with my mom/step dad (the food is amazing and the patio is even better). Saturday night entertained a small get together at my house. We ate, drank, laughed and had a wonderful time. Then sunday headed to Kitchener to celebrate with family and of course eat cake (Sweets from the Earth,,best vegan cake...yumm)
All round this was one of the best birthdays in memory. Thanks so much to all those who made it what it was :)
